I think of my friendships and other relationships as:
A necessary part of my life in order to function and have some enjoyment.A way to link up with others to help them and be involved in their lives.Part of my pathway to success, helping me and teaching me.People who I have been able to process enough that I have some trust in them and feel a responsibility towards.Others I can have fun with who add a delightful uncertainty to my life.Peaceful, quiet associates who I can dine with, watch TV with or play games, and enjoy a night of harmony together.
When I have a chance to travel:
I take the chance and see new places, meet new people, add more adventures to my scrapbook.I often will take it, especially if it involves helping people in other countries or areas of the country.I add to my list of places I've visited and languages I can speak, often making new connections for business or other pursuits.I prefer to stay home or near home where I know how things work and who's who, but sometimes I might take a short trip.I pack a small bag, grab my passport and go, often at a moment's notice.I usually like to take a group tour where everyone travels together and a guide follows an itinerary for us.
When I have a chance to go to a concert or take a day trip but I need to take a day off from work:
I usually just go to work and meet my commitments.I probably will go to work so that I don't drop the ball on group projects.I go to work and make sure that we meet the deadline that will make us look good and reflect well on my next review.I might go if everything at work is going well and the trip is well-planned.I'll go and have fun, of course!I'll skip work most likely, but call in and make sure everything's ok while I'm having fun.
When my boss or significant other has a complaint, I want it:
Straight, brief, and objective.Put kindly if possible, along with any suggestions on how I can improve or help with the situation.Delivered as a way to improve my status in the company or our relationship at home, not a complaint.Shared along with evidence to support it so I can make the right changes and fix my problem.Told to me clearly or in a kind, indirect way; whatever they prefer. I'll get around to dealing with it in due time.Shared with me so that we don't have to deal with any conflict or other difficulties as we handle it.
When there's a clear goal and it's not clear who's leading the group to achieve it:
I make it clear that I am in charge and present the goal specifically.I guide everyone to understand the goal and make sure everyone feels comfortable with it.I design a timetable for us to take steps towards the goal and assign roles so nothing gets missed.I point out that we're already behind and take the lead role in getting the job done. I don't take people at their word, but verify that they are doing their work.I lead with enthusiasm and encourage people with rewards.I create a to-do list and let each person take a task and do it their own way. If problems arise, I am ready to sort them out between people.
I think that the right time for a good joke is:
A big pile of money is:
Ready to be sorted and deposited in the bank.Something to share and help people achieve their dreams.Funding for education, status symbols like a nice car, and a resource to use for other ways to move forward in life.Something to save and invest. The funds for a trip, party, or remodeling.A way to help friends and family not have to face the stressors in their lives.
I get lots of satisfaction from helping others achieve their goals:
By outlining a plan for them.By pitching in and seeing where I can help, from using my experience to lending money.By letting them work with me, mentoring them and using their training as a resource towards my own success.By helping them stick to a plan and find ways to support their efforts.By encouraging them, putting my energy into their projects, and helping them take fun breaks to re-energize.By telling them when I think they're working too hard or taking on too much.
As far as conversations go:
I am good at exchanging information.I like to give helpful advice and guidance.I hold back from being totally helpful and honest until I know the person is trustworthy and interested.I feel responsible for connecting and successfully keeping the flow going between people.I can talk with anyone about anything at any time, and I do.I keep trying to correct people's perceptions when they seem incorrect to me or don't fit the right way to think.
I'm ok with a conversation where no one agrees:
If I've made my point and can walk away.If the person I was advising agrees to take my statements and chew on them later in hopes of understanding my point. If everyone looks up to me and listens to me in the end.If the end result doesn't really matter and we're just working on resolving our differences, not establishing the truth or our strategy.Because it's energetic and creative. As long as conflict doesn't arise.
I am very accepting and flexible:
In matters which are inconsequential to me.So that I can see what people really need from me and try to deliver it.When it helps me get forward in my day's tasks or career faster. In how we discuss matters, but not in the matters themselves. So that we can take more creative approaches to problem solving and conflict resolution.Because there's nothing to be lost by taking the relaxed route to success.
I cry, with tears coming down my face and sobbing sounds:
I fantasize about romance and other emotional experiences:
Rarely, and I hardly ever experience them in real life.As a result of reaching out to and helping other people. As recognitions of how much I have given to others. But I am concerned about relationships where I have to help or give to others to make their lives work.As a way to relax and look forward to the possibilities of the future. As a peaceful, relaxing way for myself and others to live.
I am loyal and take my commitments seriously:
Without exception.Especially when it comes to helping others and playing my role in events. So that others will be loyal to me.Because I am concerned about what would happen if loyalty were not a factor in relationships.Because I believe in people and causes. As much as I can be, but it's more important to keep the peace.
Mental challenges which push me to my limit:
Add too much uncertainty to my work.Unbalance my life -- I am more interested in community and cooperation. Are part of my path of success. Are one way that I can contribute to my team, by solving them or contributing ideas.Allow me to adventure into the unknown in my mind, and see what I can do.Are disruptive and divisive, pitting one person's intelligence against another's.
My hobbies and pursuits in my free time:
Are a great time to be alone and focus on creating projects which reflect my values of accuracy and perfection, like model building. Are a chance for me to share time with others, mentoring and helping each other enjoy our hobby. Are ways for me to excel in non-work activities of my own choice. Are times for me to help organize events and make sure everything comes out well. Are the most relaxing and free times for me, when I have few constraints and can truly be myself. Are times when everyone can enjoy and relax together, no pressure.
If asked if I am focused or uninhibited, people will say:
Bittersweet feelings such as a loss of a love:
When I have a full day of planned activities ahead of me:
I feel on target, focused and ready to give my all.I think of how I can reach out to others during the day since I know what I'll be doing.I feel like a laser-guided projectile, aimed at my goals.I don't question them, just get ready to join in.I have enthusiasm, but I plan to do them my way whenever possible.I encourage others to get into the groove for the day's activities.
Saying no at work or socially:
Is difficult because it feels like admitting failure.Isn't right if it means denying others. Is how I stay on course and get my own work done and goals met.Is only appropriate if it's to someone outside my group.Helps me manage my day so I get the most out of it and put the most into it.Is something I do as little as possible; some people don't like it.
The role of perfectionism in my life:
Avoiding confrontation in my life:
Smooths my path but may not always be the best way to get things done.Helps keep people happy in my world. Is unnecessary and unhelpful. Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet. Is necessary for the sake of my connections, but I may need to push back on external pressures. Can create chaos and failure which I don't want.Creates a more peaceful atmosphere most of the time.
Putting my family first and giving them my time and support:
Isn't always possible given my work demands.Has to be balanced with my other commitments including work and friends.Sometimes falls by the wayside when things get intense. Is one of my many responsibilities.Makes for a richer, more enjoyable life all around. Is difficult when it means saying no to important people in my life.
I get input from others before I make a decision:
When I don't have enough information to make it on my own.So that they will feel included. If absolutely necessary, but I know what's best.To make sure the team's valuable input is included in every step of the project. To ensure that we're putting our creative best into our work.So that people won't feel left out and slighted.
I keep my thoughts to myself when I think they might cause trouble:
Because they are usually better, and I don't want to deal with the conflict. So that other people have a chance to drive the direction.Only when I must, because I am usually right. In deference to the team leader.Very rarely, because I can handle whatever happens.Usually, because it's worth more to have peace than to add a bit to the result.
I side with the rebels over the establishment:
I like to stand out:
When things change around me, like if my office or home moves:
I make sure it makes sense and goes perfectly.I make sure my colleagues or family have a smooth move.I aim for a quick, well-organized and successful move.I make sure that the new location is safe and secure.I put on lively music for the move and get some snacks to celebrate when we're done.I talk with others who are upset about the move and help them to come to terms with it.
When I move into a new place, I unpack and:
Throw away anything that doesn't make sense in my new environment.Help other people to unpack as well.Put up some appropriate paintings or posters and hang a clock on my wall.Check my door keys to see if they work, make sure all of my boxes have arrived, and make sure my furniture is all in place.Tie some balloons to a chair to celebrate, put out a dish of candy, play some of my favorite upbeat music so it feels like home.Get to work, even if a few things are missing -- they'll show up later I'm sure.
When I answer a quiz like this one, I make sure to:
Give the answers which are most sensible so the software can process them correctly.Try to understand what the questions are getting at and answer the way they want me to.Answer to get the best result that says good things about me.Wonder how likely it is that I will get a correct result if I answer honestly and spontaneously.Answer a little bit humorously and see what the result is without worrying about whether it matches me or not.Give answers honestly but I don't really worry about what the results will be, it's all good.
